Vellari Pravinte Changaathi releases on December 23, 2011

Vellaripravinte Changathi is based on the story of film-maker Augustine Joseph made a Malayalam film in 1966. However, due to some reasons, the film did not make it to the theatres. His son later revives the film and get it released during Christmas in 2012. The 1960s-70s was a period dominated by Prem Nazir, Sathyan, Sheela and others.
Kavya Madhavan the lucky pair of molliwood is back with an Aku Akbar film titled as 'Vellaripravinte Changathi'. Tamil actor Prasanna will do a prominent role in this movie. G S Anil would pen the script. 'Vellaripravinte Changathi' will be produced by Arun Ghosh and Shijoy under the banner of Chandvi Creations. Locations will be at Thodupuzha, Ernakulam and Kanyakumari. This movie was ealier titled as 'Ithano Valiya Karyam' later changed to present title.

The King & the Commissioner is an upcoming Malayalam political thriller film written by Renji Panicker and directed by Shaji Kailas, starring Mammootty and Suresh Gopi in lead roles. The film was earlier reported to be a successor to 1995 film The King and 1994 film Commissioner and its sequel Bharathchandran I.P.S. of 2005, however director Shaji Kailas reportedly said that the film features a new story in a new background where the lead characters of his and Renji Panicker’s films (Joseph Alex IAS & Bharath Chandran IPS) are coming together. Mammootty and Suresh Gopi are reprising their roles Joseph Alex IAS and Bharath Chandran IPS respectively.

In the original movie 'The King', Mammootty played the role of the District Collector Thevalliparambil Joseph Alex and he will don the same role in the sequel too. Suresh Gopi's popular character as 'Bharath Chandran IPS' was born in the movie 'The Commissioner' and a sequel to that film was also made as 'Bharath Chandran IPS'. In the new film also, Suresh Gopi will don the role of Bharath Chandran.

The movie will be produced by Anto Joseph. Mammootty's Playhouse will distribute the film. Reema Sen and Samvrutha Sunil are the heroines. Janardhanan, Jagathy Sreekumar and Vijayaraghavan play other prominent roles.

Ranji Panicker-Shaji Kailas films usually have punching dialogues and both these actors are known for their explosive dialogue delivery. Fans can expect another explosive film from Shaji Kailas.
